Tobi Ajala is an award-winning technology entrepreneur, strategist, and thought leader pioneering in the next generation of technology. Originating from an artistic background, sketching hardware inventions from a young age, Tobi's transition into technology was fuelled by her desire to bring her creative visions to life. As a self-taught software engineer, she began developing software at the age of 15, which later propelled her to build groundbreaking technology solutions for industry giants such as Nike, the BBC, and Apple. In 2017, she founded TECHTEE, a software house that specialises in building early-adoption, software based solutions to drive growth for worldwide organisations. Under Tobi's leadership, TECHTEE has set new standards in software development, reflecting her belief that technology and creativity are intrinsically linked.
Tobi's journey, marked by perseverance in overcoming challenges as a Western minority in tech, has led her to become an angel investor and advisor for several startups, with a special focus on supporting women and black-owned businesses. Her commitment to fostering equitable and unbiased technology practices within innovation and advanced technology has not only transformed businesses of all kinds, but also the community of those she mentors.
Recognised for her significant contributions, Tobi was inducted into the Forbes Under 30 list in 2021, celebrated for her role in shaping the future of Web3, design systems, and tech communities worldwide. With a vision for a tech industry where diversity is foundational to those who also own and build the technology, Tobi continues to inspire with her professional philosophy that marries innovation with equity and empowerment.
